Did the pop and pour. Dark color. This wine is a bit disjointed. Sweet and fruity one moment, tannic and dry the next. Dense fruit but it is out of balance.

My review: Not much in the way of aromatics except for some heat. Sort of a standard WA syrah with blackberries, blueberries, and some smoke. Overall decent if a bit nondescript.
Betsy's review: Oily in the mouth. Bitter and unpleasant on the palate. Couldn't drink it.

Just a great value WA syrah. Was in my local wine store and a distributor just happened 2 be there tasting the Owen rowe line. The shop owner walked out w/a glass, handed it 2 me and said give this a taste. I was shocked it was only 11bucks! Nice concentrated dark fleshy berries some florals and a cool dried meat finish. Went great w/bbq salmon. Another great bbq wine!

Decanted 3.5 hrs. Purple tinged, dark. Smell is very hot, heavy solvent. Taste is also hot, but more fruit shines through then the nose, blackberries. Spicy, tannic, hint of rubber. Softened somewhat 6 hrs in, but still a little hot. This was a disappointment, but definitely needs decanted.

(Corvidae Syrah Lenore Columbia Valley) Lots of blueberry and blueberry pie aromas along with blackberry bush and a touch of licorice. A fair amount of alcohol hangs above the nose. A bit aggressive on the front end of the palate then dips down.
