Nose: concentrated, ripe, dark fruit that leans classic in style. Vanilla, cracked pepper and lavender. Palate: outstanding silky entry, sweet cherry, blackberry, fig and licorice. Great anise spice. Finish: warm spicy red and black fruit. Dark ripe tannins and a hint of heat.
This needs 90 mins in decanter to put on weight and come together. Once you are in the zone it is one decadent taste after another. Perfect melding of two heritage sites on the western bench.
Just a solid, lovely cab made in a classic style. A beam of smooth dark red fruits in a silky package. Very nice with grilled pork chops and side dish that had dried cranberries in it.

It's still drinking young and needed 2-3 hours of decanting to finally open up and balance out. Energy and structure dominate early on but with time the black cherry fruit arrives to balance this all out. Pleasant!

Black cherry, cassis and raspberry on the nose. Well packaged in the mouth, but nothing really stands out about htis wine. Typical mid-tier napa cab, good fruit and smooth entry. Nice wine, but not the best qpr.
