This bottle was really singing, a lot more polish and class than I was expecting. If anything, it was a bit too polished and I wanted just a bit more earthy, mineral and soil notes. That said, this was delicious and was finished with ease at our table. If I could, I would buy more.

Pretty good mature burg with some dusty aged smells, a deeper note of forest floor, and just a soft touch of red fruit. Well balanced body that tends to the angular and lean side of things, with tannins that have softened but still present something to chew on.

Dyn-oh-mite! (Leads me to suspect that the meh bottle was also corked.) Ballsy fruit and earthy depth. Bloomed out in about 30 mins and held for hours.

(Colin Marc Santenay Vieilles Vignes) Medium red, just about holding onto a cherry colour. The nose is of powdery round red fruit - a little soft but with some depth and just the last traces of toasty oak. In the mouth this shows a little fat and a nice creamily long finish. The tannins are very subdued and the acidity is nicely balancing for the ripe fruit. Nice wine.

Meh. Has evolved into a tolerable, but not particularly enjoyable place.
