Pop & poured. Dark ruby color. Nose of dark cherries, oak, little anise/black licorice. Medium bodied, slight pepper, oak and a little minerality on the palate, with decent acidity and tannins. Not the usual herbal notes I tend get from cab franc, but a well made wine.

It's an atypical cab franc. It lacks pepper and big on dark fruit. It was big and closed. It also lacked length on finish. It is a C- at best.
