Unlike other red 2003s that I've brought up from the cellar and that have been surprising elegant, this Prunier-Bonheur was rife with cooked fruits, with raisin and (as the name ironically suggests) prune notes. Previous bottles of the same wine showed much better. I'll give this another shot... but concerned that this wine is not holding up.

Drinking at its tip-top peak. Ample fruit, perfumed nose, great balance. Will never be better than it is right now.
