In just one year, I believe this wine has already gotten better. Great flavors, opened up over the evening, and I believe will be even better next year. A great Malbec.

From a winemakers point of view the 2007 vintage was near perfection. We were off to an early season with bud-break starting the last week of February. Growing conditions were ideal throughout the spring and summer months with no frost or heat spikes. Our 2007 Estate Malbec made its debut with only 1200 lbs. of grapes picked. We were hoping for significant yields off of these four year old vines but found that the vines set a very loose cluster of berries and small cluster size to go with that. With such a small crop the fruit became mature in early September. In the winery we were amazed at how much concentrated color and jammy, meaty qualities the Malbec displayed. We certainly have high hopes for this variety in the coming vintages. This wine is a100% Malbec and only 1 barrel was produced. It was bottled in February 2009.

a very simple, smooth wine. Good flavor, a little tannin, will age well. Warm tasting, not powerful, but definitely enjoyable.
