  2007 Small Vines Russian River Valley Pinot. A very nice and interesting Friday night bottle. Rich and ever so slightly tart black and red cherries, blackberries, and spice, reminds me a bit of slightly medicinal but refreshing kirsch liqueur, with even a hint of anise. Well structured and balanced. Nothing simple here, it’s a complex and very enjoyable wine.

  Not at peak, but still a lovely wine with nice cherry fruit, good acidity and nice balance. Drink up.
