(Renacer Punto Final Malbec Reserve) #1; COLOR-very dark purple; NOSE-cedar; blueberry; some red fruit as well; a little artificial like Fun Dip candy; a little leather action; PALATE-a lot of intense purple fruit (like a purple ice pop); it's easy drinking, but kind of disappears on the finish; this is like drinking Grape Ape; very new world; some subtle earthiness and bark on the back-end which I like; serviceable; WS-91; GV-88

shared this with pat at selkirk manor to celebrate winding down the work week including preparation for closing on the weir house. this continues to be among my top 3 favorite malbecs from argentina. i love this producer and i love this wine. i learned that this is 99% malbec and 1% cabernet franc. the wine still shows dark blue/black color. very generous on the nose and in the mouth. well balanced. lingering finish. great qpr. may go out and buy more of this. wil alsol look for more recent vintages.

Nose of burnt cedar and deep grape. Dark fruits with a burnt wood finish. Great balance.
