  • Smells like grape skins, with savory/meaty/leathery and spicy accents. Same on the palate - robustly fruity, spicy, savory, fairly tannic, dry. Appetizing, moreish, highly drinkable. Certainly not something to over-analyze, but perfectly enjoyable for what it is.

  • Light table grape/red cherry nose. Light acidity and moderate tannins hit first, followed by dark cherry fruit. The middle is mostly missing, but the return replays the start in a finish of moderate length, with the acidity outlasting the fruit and tannins. Barely frizzante, however.
