Popped and poured. Initial nose of raw granny smith apples that turned more baked with hints of nutmeg and a surprisingly strong toasted coconut aroma from the oak. Typically Rulo wines are on the restrained end of the oakiness spectrum, but this was on the border of over the top. On the palate the flavors mimicked an apple pie with lemon zest in the crust. Mouthfeel was very viscous. Good style if you like Napa chardonnays with a better acidity structure and cleaner fruit flavors. Would purchase again.

Tasted and bought at the winery. Wow...this is an extremely well balanced chardonnay with a myriad of beautiful flavors and aromas. Very floral nose with some lemon and ginger scents as well. Palate is silky smooth, with tart apple, sweet pear, and lemon. Finishes with some slightly toasted oak. This is a great QPR, it's nearly impossible to find this quality at this price...$18.

(Birch Creek): Nose of oak, citrus, something maybe cinnamon. On the palate vanilla, apple, butter, great acidity and focus. Nice for the price.
