Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • I write this as a general warning that the Nomacorc enclosure that Marc uses on his regular bottling does not allow for even the most nominal of bottle evolution. I am down to my second to last bottle of 2002 AC, and the wine is usable only for cooking, with intense truffly earthy oxidative tones. Later this month I will go to a professional winery and have them vacuum cork all my 2005s.

Rockss and Fruit

  • By Lyle Fass

(Domaine de la Pepiere Muscadet Sevre et Maine sur Lie) Nose of minerals, seashells, salt, lime zest and white pepper. Palate has softened up quite a bit since the jagged acidity I remember upon release. It has integrated more and become more rounded. Great almost powdery mouthfeel and piquant acidity. Long finish that is doused in minerals. Still a baby if I dare say.
