Dark plum/ purple color. Nice dark fruit (cherry, black raspberry),tobacco, spice, leather. Lingering finish. Slight herbs. Cassis. Really enjoyable.

Chateau Montelena "Past, Present, and Future" (Metropolitan Club, Minneapolis): Deep brick red with moderate amber. Definitely a mature wine. Cassis, tobacco, leather, and black raspberries. Light to medium bodied, with a long, slightly lemony/acidic finish. Fully resolved tannins. Interesting!
