  • The wine is clear and bright with a pale tawny colour and dense legs. The nose is clean and fully developed, showing medium intensity simple aromas of overripe plums, candied cherries, cinnamon, almonds and hints of liquorice. The wine is sweet in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has medium- tannins and high warm alcohol. The body is medium+ and it has medium+ intensity flavours of overripe plums, candied cherries, cinnamon, almonds and hints of liquorice. The finish is medium+.

It is a very good quality wine showing the typicity of a basic Tawny Port, with a good flavour intensity and finish, but not enough to consider it outstanding. Drink now, the wine is already fully developed and will not improve in the bottle.

  • Excellent texture of diluted syrup. Classic madiera wine notes. Blackberry syrup with a faint hint of syrup and a blackberry and vanilla finish that goes on forever and electrifies the tongue. Wonderful stuff. Caveat: tried on a Delta flight Atlanta-London.
