During our constant quest for good Pinot, we try them all. This one was disappointing. It was light and thin. Unfortunately we tasted this with several other wines, straight out of a fresh opened bottle. My experience has proved that all Pinot's benefit from decanting. The color was very light, which is not usually a kiss of death for a Pinot. The initial aroma was very much industrial cleaners and soap. This industrial note continued on to the palate. WE have to give them credit for attempting to grow in a very cool climate. Some of the fruit flavors behind the industrial cleaner showed a nice delicate, unique strawberry and cherry character. Less than medium bodied. Balanced acidity. Disappears pretty quick on the finish. Would like to decant a bottle over night.

Really mediocre, with some cloying strawberry flavors and not much else. Good pinots are silky, this one was metallic. And it's not that good pinot can't happen in this price range -- two days earlier we had a $9 bottle from Casablanca Valley in Chile that blew this one away. Maybe Patagonia isn't ready for prime time.
