Has mellowed nicely from 12 months ago; not so much tannin and alcohol. Still a lot of fruit, but not as much as a year ago. But it's drinking nicely now. I would have ranked this 88 a year ago. Enjoyed it.

Big and spicy, very identifiable as petit verdot, yet fairly balanced and well-rounded. Still young, with some prominent oak in the foreground, but loads of spicy black fruit and licorice. Not currently complex, but juicy and fun to drink. I wouldn't be surprised if the oak settles down with time, and this develops a little refinement. At the very least, it's something different.
