Burgundy WIMPS October 2023 (La Trompette): Dark in the glass. Nose has amber and dried lemon, some honey and nuts but clean. Advanced on the palate with a particularly nutty finish. A bit too evolved - drink up

Lots of bottle variation in the 4 I purchased. This bottle was intact, but definitely showing its age. No pre-mox, although the color would have had you nervous. Wine was clean, mature and delicious. Ripe pear, apple and enough acid left to lift and support. It was nice to end the group with a winner.

Coravin 5/14/16: Deep golden-orange color; highly aromatic nose with mature notes of butterscotch, caramel, still has some tropical pineapple, fades somewhat with vigorous swirling; palate is full bodied, rich texture, creamy, medium-plus vibrant acidity throughout midpalate, some remaining fruit; finish is medium-long length. This is still a superbly balanced and interesting white Burgundy at full maturity, perhaps just starting its fade. My bottles have all been the same degree of mature, not premoxed, but aged white burg as it should be. Drink up this year, as it won't get any better. 92-93

From a bottle personally purchased upon release and cellared in pristine fashion, this wine was gently decanted and serially tasted over the ensuing 2-3 hours. Medium-to-deep gold in color, it offers a very intense bouquet of honeysuckle, lavender, tropical fruit and wet stones. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic, seamlessly alcoholic (14%) and with excellent minerality, it delivers flavors mirroring the nose and is layered on the mid-palate. Finishing long and crisp, this is classic-quality, complex white Burgundy. Those holding well-cellared bottles will be very pleased (assuming not prematurely oxidized). Drink now-2018.

NR. Badly pre-moxed. Very disappointing as the stuffing behind seemed to want to come out and play.
