  Dense, dark purple hues with a lifted, consistent nose that has whiffs of blueberry, raspberry and maple syrup. Medium-to-full-bodied with ripe dark berries marking its core, it also features candied kirsch, oak, vanilla, cinnamon and spice. It's got great balance despite the significant alcohol content, and finishes with a lifted note that spikes in the end with just the right amount of tannins to give it an interesting textured, mineral-filled finish. Has a rounder mouthfeel compared to the 2007. Drink now until 2015.
