  on night one this was sharp and fruit / sweetness were no where to be found, however this was much more open on night two, having rounded out just enough and opened up some fruit to go with the ample structure and acidity, still not a round wine

  Clear ruby though showing a little age on the edges. Still portraying a beautiful dark-fruit nose, spice and a little oak. Beautifully balanced mouthful of blackberries, candied fruits and soft tannins. Super ripe and concentrated. Paired fabulously with roast chicken. Surpassed my expectations. I'm beginning to admit I may have a bit of an English palate, because despite reviews saying this wine is past it, I found it very enjoyable with a lot still to offer.
