  • We have a very high impression of Andrew Murray in genearl. This wine was good but short of excellent or outstanding. It was decanted at least one hour before consumption. It was quite tart and the tartness was still there 2 hours later. By the end of the bottle, the tartness became tiresome rather that enjoyable. The wine had nice body and fruit as in tart cherries. It failed to come across as a true Syrah. The finish was somewhat short. I am glad we drank it now.

  • This is a mid-weight syrah, but the fruit flavors are strong, the oak is integrated, acids are present and the finish is long. I quite like this.

  • Good dark red/purple color. Nose has white pepper, light smoke and perhaps chocolate with warm, soft red fruits. A bit tart all over the mouth and you feel some acid. Light on fruit flavors, mostly light ripe dark cherry or cooked strawberry, but those flavors get cut off really fast. Finish is short, flat and allows the acid to come thru. Wow, opened up nicely 3 hours later. Decant this for half a day and the complex fruit expands over the acid and lengthens the finish. A pleasant wine at the end of the bottle. Still, drink it by mid 2008 after long decant.
