Excellent Pomerol, perfectly aged, soft, caressing, dark chocolate/cacao, cassis; medium but soft tannins, nice finish. Very enjoyable with wagyu beef burgers. Seattle w/M-D

Very good dark red colour, no browning at all at the rim, and looks younger than 15 years. The nose is fresh, with tobacco, savoury, forest floor characters, red fruits and some aged oak in the background. The palate does not quite deliver the promise on the nose - the fruit is rather light and the acid is firm. The flavours are red berries and plums, a bit of nutty, smoky oak and a touch of vanilla. The finish shows some acid and light tannins, and there is a bit of alcohol heat (14% ABV) at the end.
I like this wine but it needs more fruit intensity and complexity for higher marks,

Tannins have melted away since my last bottle eight years ago. Ripe merlot fruit and I perceive a modern styled wine more forward on fruit and less earthy tones. Slightly hollow in the middle but overall an enjoyable wine. Drink now.
