tested blind, dark yellow, looks like a Tokay, smells like it too, but this bottle was flaws or defective, or it has become too old ?, we could unfortunately not drink this bottle

Golden yellow honey syrup coloured. Was getting worried this would have been other the hill. However a blooming freshly popped corn with hot butter covered by oven baked lemony notes. Rich opulence of a batard and weight of a meaursault. Long finish with an oily grapeseed oil and white honeysuckle finish.

Glorious Rhône lunch at 28-50 (London): Compared to the adjacently tasted 89 Rayas Blanc, this was much more oily yet very dry. A touch of marzipan. Incredible persistence. I had a bit of a preference for the Rayas, but this was a fascinating wine as well.

Yum, this is good. Just brought a case out of bond, and tried a bottle. Lovely golden colour, very syrupy and real honey on the nose, with tropical fruits, pineapple and hint of banana in the mouth. Nice long finish, not much acidity, but not too sweet either, so well balanced. Note to self, drink more white hermitage
