Compared to Sangiovese from Tuscany in Italy, this California Sangiovese has a softer texture, more forward and delicious fruit, and is somewhat less astringent, tannic, and acidic. It's an enjoyable wine by itself, and tastes excellent with any food made from tomatoes, cheese, or cherries.

A very nice California Sangiovese. Good fruit, full mouth feel, good balancing acid. Better the first night than the second.
