Pleasantly surprised by this great Mt. Veeder cabernet. I always thought the '07 Napa cabs drank magnificently when young but I've had mixed results as they aged. Not so with this bottle of O'Shaughnessy! It's vibrant with great fruit, nice acidity, and well-integrated tannins. My wife and I enjoyed it with homemade "steak frites" and emptied the bottle in record time. Yum!

PnP from a 1.5L and awesome out of the gate, great balance between fruit and earth. Enough tannic backbone left to really hold it all together (in a good way). Black cherry, pine, burnt embers, forest floor. Went quick so didn’t have a lot of time with this but I loved it. My WOTN.
Had a case of the 2005 because of Parker hyperbole. This was much better than the 2005. Decanted two bottles before a dinner party and the wine opened beautifully. Deep dark color with purple fruit and resolved tannins. Lovely finish.

Tasted side-by-side with the 2007 Howell Mountain. The Howell started out bolder and richer but the Mt Veeder found its stride about an hour in. Both were delicious wines and well in their drinking window.

(O'Shaughnessy Cabernet Sauvignon Mt. Veeder) Very dark red violet color; nice, cassis, ripe currant nose; tasty, Bordeaux-like, tart currant, tart plum palate; medium-plus finish
