Nicely aged, for both the aromatics and flavors. Cement-like mineral note on the Nose and Palate. Strong bell pepper on the palate, along with baked cherry. Tannins completely resolved. Acidity is adequate. A bit oakier than I prefer, but there's still plenty of aged fruit to enjoy. At least a little past peak, as this seems to be just barely still holding together, but this is doing much better than I feared it would be. Just picked this up for $30, and it's a steal at that price. Gut impression score: low 90s.

  • Still alive, some ripe aged fruit, fair sturucture, berry and softened tannins, decent but fully mature.
