Developed wine which will not develop much further to my opinion. Gave it some air, but NO FRIDGE., 16 / 17 c is fine. Not an excellent year, but a very good wine where it comes to price/ quality ratio. Appearance: typical PN, ruby w/ garnet rim. Nose: still enough red fruit, some leather & farmyard elements, cheese (camembert...) On the palate a great dryness with moderate tannins, nice acidity. Well balanced glass. Paired with succulent French catherine wheel pork sausages. Drink now.

A well made wine with mediocre grapes. The nose is pleasant with a bit leather and a tiny tiny bit of mushroom, yet faded very quickly. Slight chilling is a good idea. Taste is jammy with red fruit and a bit of violet. I read that 06 was not too good for beaune so I think this wine would be better in better vintages. Not bad qpr.

13% d'alcool, 100% Pinot Noir Oeil : rouge translucide typique du pinot noir, mais tout de même plutôt soutenu, auréole légèrement évoluée à reflets rosés et orangés, viscosité plutôt forte en parois Nez : projection d'intensité faible à moyenne, frais, très forte odeur noyau de cerise, cerise immature, fumée, charbon de bois, pierre mouillée, pointe végétale Bouche : sec, ample, tanins souples+, asséchant, astringence moyenne, amertume moyenne, acidité modérée à vive, rétro très aigre, très suret et très acidulée (très désagréable)... Bouteille défectueuse.

Not as enjoyable as previous bottle, this one was more muted on the palate, and needed more fruit. On the other hand, it is so important to get the right temperature and I may have served it slightly too cold. In any case, it was still a good wine and I would recommend it.

I find this wine has pleasant beetroot aromas which lead to an enjoyable palate with some tannin on the finish. This was tasted slightly chilled, which I recommend (20+ mins in refrigerator). I don't see any reason why this wine wouldn't keep and even improve for a couple of years and it would be a good introduction to Burgundy for novices.
