Decanted 1 hour consumed over 3. Nose is fresh cut flowers, dark cherries, and some damp earth. The palate starts with tart cherries that begin to take on a sweeter feel from the earthiness that follows. Nothing over ripe about it, just a textural change that makes the fruit go from tart to sweet. The mid palate is dominated with minerals that continue through to the finish where bracing acidity takes over. The acidity is something that I only really ever get with a good Swan Zin, where you have perfectly ripe fruit that is balanced out with great acidity on the finish. Oh did I mention the abv of 12.5%. Excellent.

I've been waiting to drink this Mourvedre I got this from the last case at the winery. Usually used for blending in Syrah, Grenache or Cabernet this is a real treat. It's a lighter bodied red with a purple tinge to the edges. The nose is floral, prune, raspberry and pie cherry tart. The taste is a very smooth, mineral, cherry and raspberry fruit, acidic middle with a smooth tannin. I love this varietal 93, wish I had more
