Not yet ready. In sleep stage? Upon opening, very little nose. Flavors were muted and very light with a tart cherry component and little or no finish to speek of. Vacuvinned and put into refrigerator for one week. Warmed up and tried again. Wine was better, more nose, a little more fruit, but still not warranting any more than an 87. Poor vintage in Willamette Valley, but I think this wine will show better with time.

Having loved the Argyle Nuthouse Reserve, made by the same team, I was somehow expecting this much less expensive wine to compare. It didn't. It was ok if you like broad, jammy American Pinots, but did not hold a candle to it's more expensive cousin. Lesson learned.

Light intensity, cherry red hue. Strong candied cherry nose. Simple, strong cherry koolaid, yeast, butterscotch flavor. Good acid, light tannin. Flavor ends mid-palate, slight bitter finish. Drink now for simple fruity enjoyment.
