Pleasantly. surprised. Color is very deep ruby red and only light at the edges. Nose is light but present. Red fruit with earthy undertone Taste is of red fruit with some leather/savory backing. Still feel like there are tannins present in some abundance. Medium finish.
Ah, yeah. There you are. This little undercover piece of red escaped both registration and my otherwise stellar memory. 8-10 yrs later it just resurfaced -5 yrs past its drinking window end. Alright then. Just five bottles. And the reindeer stew is cooking. Why not. So it’s like going to the high school reunion to find out your forgotten classmate developed long legs, great body and a nice attractive maturity. Opens somewhat muted, dusty nose, but opens up with abundant red fruit, beautiful acidity, good length and finely tuned tannins. Singing.

Purple red in color. Roasted dark berry liquer, licorice, herbs and tar make up a rather ripe nose. Black raspberry and blackberry liquer is intermixed with licorice, smoke and tar on the very ripe, juicy and sweet palate. There is enough acidity to keep the wine interesting. Good value for the money.

Oh wow, deep ruby red, plum, oak, red berries. Supposedly past drinking window but is drinking so we’ll shame it’s my last bottle!
