Ox-blood in color Intoxicating nose. Still some residual dark fruit showing. Some woody notes, Red licorice. Wet gravel. Full bodied. Unctuous. Some jammy notes. Well balanced. Longish finish. This wine is so well built. Drink now or hold for 1-2 years. Delicious juice, at its prime. Drink cellar temp. Just lovely.

Delicious and well balanced wine at its peak. Deep red color. Fruity nose of red berries, especially raspberries. Harmony and balance on the palate. Great length with elegant and polished tannins - their existence indicate a couple of more years of wine drinking pleasure ahead. Wonderful silkyness.

Opened via Coravin to accompany red-wine braised oxtail, carrots, and celeriac, with polenta. Extremely dark color (no bricking). Open and lovely nose of graphite, wintergreen, and currants. Medium acidity and tannins. Perfect balance. Lots of fruit on the palate. This is a big wine that matched the food. Has a lot of life left to it. My wine group has done only one Portuguese wine tasting and I bought an extra bottle of the one I brought. Based on tonight's tasting, I think we should revisit Portugal.

Full day decant (mild sediment) Dark, rich ruby colored. Full bodied. Sweet, meaty nose. Perfume and floral notes as well. Thick and chewy. Tastes like the nose. Medium plus finish. A rally nice wine which will last at least 3-5 more years. Great juice. Was great with food, but also nice sipped alone. High price point!
