The only red wine at the Ichiban tasting. As soon as I smelled it, it was as if my glasses unfogged. Though it was not a great wine, it was far more pleasant than the indistinguishable whites at the dinner.
NOSE: Slight overripe, raisiny characteristics, reminiscent of the 06 Castel di Salve Armecolo Salento IGT. Slight barnyard. Not delicious. PALATE: Dry, quite bitter, with weak, but present tannins. Mild flavor on the midpalate. Not huge fruit - a little woody and dusty. OVERALL: A baked, hollow wine.

A nice daily quaffer. Fruit was a bit primary but pleasant acidity and moderate tannins on the finish.

good european style. Light but bright fruit. Fresh acidity. Low oak and a slight hint of spice. Good

A delightful, easy drinking wine with alluring acidity. Great QPR.
