  • This just isn't my idea of a vintage blanc de blanc champagne--especially one with some age. Maybe more years might make it more mellow. The carbonation stays with you. It is fairly tart and tastes like it is more from Sauvignon Blanc than Chardonnay. If you have it with appetizers plan carefully. For example, if you pair it with shrimp, crab and so on you will probably want to consider it with spiceir (Cajun or bar-b-que) recipes. Francios Montand non-vintage blanc de blanc spoiled me at several dollars less per bottle (10 vs. 13). Also, there are a number of good cavas from Spain that would seem to be better values. This one probably proves that the best wines are the ones you like.
