  • really fine mousse, yellowish rim, deeply colored. very open and expressive aromatically showing a lot of pinot dominance... a lot of nutty, autolytic aromas, no oak. on the palate very bright and acidic still with a moderate amount of weight on the midpalate... great balance, very good length, great intensity and complexity. wine has very good finesse, a very fine texture, classic expression of place. this surprised me and is one of the better 01's i've had (glad i never bought many from this vintage that being said)
