The fruit here is even more expressive compared to the last few bottles I've opened. This is quite a pleasure to drink now and given that the fruit is not fading there is still no hurry to drink up.

This is still a lovely, soft and smooth wine with a light palate of gentle, red fruit, spices and mushrooms. Fully mature now, but there is no hurry to drink up.

I've been working my way through 2 cases of this wine which I bought for a song in 2009. This bottle, number 3 from the second case is the best so far. There's plenty of mature Burgundy magic, the fruit is darker toned, almost plummy, and there are all sorts or tertiary nuances detectable on the palate. The wine is gentle, smooth, the nose is wonderfully perfumed. Just wonderful with a grilled porterhouse pork chop marinated in citrus juice, thyme and olive oil.

Curiously, this has gained weight over the past year. A mature nose of dried red fruit, mushrooms and pine. A palate of lovely red fruit, spices and sous-bois. As with previous bottles, not a bad showing for a 1994 and perfectly agreeable for a Friday night mature-burg fix.

Still going strong. Soft and smooth, gentle red fruit and sous bois notes. Mature Burgundy, very pleasing to drink.
