Sommelier Journal

  • By Ben Narasin
November 2008, (See more on Sommelier Journal...)

(Celler de Capçanes Montsant Mas Donís Rosato) This rosé, made by the saignée method, has almost enough color to be mistaken for a red. The raspberry appearance and nose are joined by a crisp minerality, a pleasantly light sweetness, and bright flavors. On the palate, 10% Merlot adds backbone to 80% Garnatxa and 10% Syrah. A sunshine wine. Montsant: The Other Priorat
