Another perfect bottle: light yellow color, the nose is fresh, screaming Chablis. On the palate citrus and iodine. Opens step by step, mouth coating density and good length. Grand cru level.

Moderate honey gold color, crushed fruit and sea spray nose, palate is mature but not advanced, wonderful intensity and depth, the fruit is matched by beautiful minerality and a melange of tide pool notes, saline, long finish tails off slowly, with intertwined fruit, mineral, and beach. As this opens further over the course of dinner, there is so much richness and complexity, just delicious. This bottle is definitely in the middle of its drinking plateau, hard to see how it could get better.

Another great bottle. Deep, rich, full body with mineral and lemon oil. Reduced at first but it does open up. Per my previous notes, I have had some oxidized bottles of this in the past year but this one is not. Still, I plan to drink my last two soon and hope for the best. I have only had these challenges with La Forest in 2008. My other vintages have been excellent.

Oh man, this isn't premoxed or fatigued at all. Just beautiful in a lemony frame with white flower aroma and a lithe, almost creamy texture that has a weightless kind of length and finish. Still so much acid here, along with some wet stone. I may drink the whole bottle myself!

Greenish yellow color, already the nose screams Chablis. Iodine, salinity and very long. This is on Grand cru level. Another perfect Forest 2008.
