  • This showed its mature state, deep gold yellow. Yellow plum, citrus leaning towards mandarin nose with mineral backbone. The palate showed yellow plum and pear, Christmas cake spice, leading to a long finish. All flavours balanced by acidity. You have to like old wines, which I do, and this was right up my alley. (92)

  • Brought to drink at Oinoscent during afternoon shift
The wine was uncorked and tasted after at least 30min.
The wine shows deep golden color.
The wine shows high intensity in the nose, rosewater first that quickly goes away, ripe to overripe stone fruit, citrus, mandarin, orange peel, fig raisih, sugar coated fruit, lemon curt, pastry, ginger, turmeric.
In the palate, the wine shows medium intensity, low to medium acidity, ripe stone fruit, pear, apple, spicy again tin pineapple, nice texture with a long finish
Very interesting, seems to be at its peak.

  • clean with the color of caramel, the nose gives peach & melon against a backdrop of coarse black pepper.

Faded acidity makes it a bit flabby and tough to match with food other than mashed potatoes and steamed cauliflower.

If a date it was a 44 year old former model who spends dinner reliving her glory days.

    Drink up it's dying.

  • The 7 years since the last bottle have really served this wine well. Straw colored. Nose has complex array of white and stone fruits, oily lemon and slate. Yes, this is rich on the palate but no longer 'thick', not so sweet, and no hint of excess etoh. The acid mineral is in great balance with the complex lengthy fruit. Bright and clear. Played extremely well with the charcuterie plate at Table 6.

  • The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like fresh minerals and pineapple. It has a very sweet taste and also a bit oily and floral taste. The body is full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.
