{cork, 14.5%, A$18} Clear ruby. Clean, youthful on the nose. Aromas of macerated red fruits with a faintly undertone. Hmmm. The palate eventually opens up with violets & plums, though never quite losing the stewed aspect, and eventually softens out with exposure to air. Soft dusty tannins, medium acidity and weight, and a decent length finish. Feels like it’s got a few years aging in it, although fruit-fiends had better drink up now. Good value.

Very good, very dark purple, with medium concentration, fruit forward with cedar notes, smooth on the palate with a medium finish - Good QPR (88 Points).

NobleRottersSydney - Christmas Lunch 2006 (David's place): Glowing crimson in colour, with a restrained violet nose overlaid with plummy tones and a palate of swingeing tannins and distant acid, this interesting example of an unusual stand-alone grape has moderate weight and a shortish finish. Some interest, though.

Very nice, dark purple, with pronounced fruit on the nose with a touch of oak, very smooth and balanced - Quite enjoyable for the price (88 Points).
