Drunk to accompany chocolate cake. Very indulgent!
Light bronze colour. Lively small bubbles. Maturity on the nose, stewed pears, melted butter (bottle brought by a friend, so no idea how old it is). Palate is rich and quite full. Apricots, pineapples. Good acidity, well balanced. Moreish.

Drank this as a comparison with a bottle of A.R. Lenoble. Both bottles about the £18/£19 mark, and both excellent champagnes. A very delicate nose, slightly fruity taste and a nice long finish, with delicate bubbles on the tongue
