Tasted at the winery tasting room in Rutherford. They always seem to taste better before they are moved very far by truck or plane. This one is made in the rich and creamy style, so I suspect some barrel fermentation and lees treatment. Very light in color. Sophisticated nose of blossoms, lemon, and a little of that grassiness. Balanced, smooth, harmonious, and elegant. Nice job with almost perfect acidity.

Slightly shy and crisp nose. Good acidity, with a slightly Rhone-esque bitterness. A little lemon and leesiness. Pleasant quaffer. $18
