  • This 11 year old Chardonnay from Saint Veran in Burgundy continues to nicely improve with age. The nose includes citrus and floral elements. The sip is an interesting upfront combination of tasty citrus fruit and vivid acid bite that is mouth cleansing. What has increased with aging is a lusher texture that veers toward a caressing and mouth coating taste.

  • Began very distinctively like classic white Burgundy. Lively and vivid acidity, very clean and clear flavored, with a floral background and strong lemon fruit. Patiently drinking it over 6 days, the wine gained a most welcome texture and flesh. Impressively good with a host of foods.

  • Bought a whole case for a ridiculously low price from a distributor closeout. Pale yellow with hardly any sign of being 10 years old. Aromas of ginger and honeysuckle. Caressingly textured, smooth, juicy, mouth coating, and rich. Outstanding with both fish and pasta made with homegrown broccoli and cherry tomatoes.

  • Translucent medium yellow color, with aromas of honeysuckle, kiwi, Fuji apple, and Bosc pear. The sip is dominated by bright and refreshing lemon juice and zest, with a sheen of lemon oil that coats the mouth after the swallow. Delicious by itself and wonderful with a host of foods. Verget white Burgundies stored in a cooler will generally age magnificently for a decade, increasingly becoming more fragrant, caressing, complex, and integrated, and this wine will benefit from additional bottle age through 2020.

  • Quick notes from a blind tasting with Motz - Lovely balanced wine with fresh vanilla bean, honey, mineral, seashell, mulch/herb and a touch of smoke. I had it pegged at 1st blind but talked myself out of my 1st guess.
