  • ChrisD's 40th: Flat and alcoholic. Had some fans around the table but it felt well past its best for me.

  • Blind. Full straw. Fatter and heavier than the 13 Beau VV alongside. More viscous on the palate and less refined. Perfectly decent but outclassed by the company. The added weight and touch of heat on the finish would make this a difficult proposition if it was more than a single glass with suitable food. Bare ***

  • 13,8% d'alcool
    Marsanne 100%

  • NY/NJ WLTV Offline (Fonda Del Sol, NYC): Very interesting aromatics on the nose of peach, eucalyptus, caramel, and the sort of briny olive notes I associate with sherry. Medium bodied with an oily texture, medium high acid and a bit short on the finish. I seemed to pick up some very subtle bruised apple notes making me think that this bottle was just starting to get a little oxidized.

  • Nose full of plums, aged honey and some mineral/wet stone hints. Silky texture with strong acid driven backbone in the mouth. Lacking mid-palate -maybe due to age of that bottle.
