Not as good as past vintages I've had. A bit thin mid-palate but still has plenty of rustic dark fruit, chocolate cherries, and mocha. Must hunt down a touriga nacional from this winery as it is sublime after some aging.

(Iberian Wines Tasting, WineGate) Clear, mid ruby color Clean, mid intensity, black berries and cherries, plums, coffee hints, chocolate bits, liquer-like, young. Dry, medium body, medium intensity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium acidity, medium tannins, coffee notes, black berries and cherries, nutmeg, oaky notes, balanced but thin concentration, medium- finish. Good wine, mid price. Drink now I can't see the point of ageing this further,

Nice style for price ~22$ CAN. Drinking at its peak I would suggest and no need to hold for longer than coming year or so. Style reminds me of a lighter Italian vino - light on acid/tannin - but straight shooting with strong berry notes that are 1-2 noted. Not complicate, but tasty enough.
Will do fine in cellar for next couple of years.

(Quinta do Crasto, Douro) Even if Portugese winemaker David Guimaraens describes Douro table wine as “Port for diabetics,” this Quinta do Crasto is a good argument for its continued popularity. It is full-bodied, mineral, herbal, balanced, and fresh, with nuances of dried griottes on the finish. Delicious now, but could easily be cellared for another five years or more. Hot Picks
