  • Orange, dark orange. Served too cold but subdued hints of orange maramalade, lime and an off note of something funky. Very sweet, dessert wine, viscous. Still has remarkably good acidity, medium finish. Remarkable for 16 years old, not designed for the long haul but still drinking well. Perfect with a fresh fruit platter. 10 years is probably the max drinking window for this type of wine. Reminds me of the old Hunter porphry sauternes of McWilliams and Lindemans or other Meditteranean stickies.
