  • Deep garnet to ruby to rose; variation consistent with age. Very good clarity. Slow, wide-spaced legs. Aromas are fruit dominant; blueberry, red currant, black current. Also noted are dust, nutmeg and black olive. On the palate, nutmeg strengthens and a hint of black olive emerges. Medium to full body. Supple, smooth, soft, satiny. Medium finish and medium acidity. By Day 2, wine's balance and complexity become more apparent. By Day 3, cherry was noted on the palate. Impression: well-blended wine with interesting aromatics. Merlot-dominant, but it's clear that Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, and bits of Syrah & Petit Verdot are present. The wine was a gift at about $40; QPR below average. Drink now.

  • It is either my imagination or this wine keeps getting better. We pnp'd. Dark fruit and chocolate on the nose. The palate was dark berries, figs, tobacco and chocolate. The finish was long and full. Drank alongside a 2008 Agharta Farella and this was by far the better wine. Unfortunately this was my last bottle of a half case I bought in January of 2011.

  • We opened and let sit for an hour and a half. The nose was dark berries with chocolate. The palate was dark berries, cherry, plum, tobacco and cedar. The finish was smooth and long. Just a really nice bottle of wine served with a simple oven roasted chicken.
