Random bottles of this keep turning up in my cellar as a bonus ! As previously this is a fine bottle from the St Emilion satellites with lots of character and a nice defining minerality to match the quite rich Merlot fruit. There are no signs of decline with the structure providing the longevity to continue for some time on this quite delicious plateau.

A Lost Cellar wine. This bottle opened in fine shape with a persistent deep crimson colour and a forthcoming nose of dark cherry and raspberry, garnet plums and touches of charcoal and liquorice. The palate has a spherical entry of fresh pure fruits leading into a soft fine tannic structure that provides medium length. This is a pure and quite fine example of the outlying right bank wineries with pure characters avoiding all attempts to crank up the volume !

Purchased on release at Costco a million years ago and cellared well by me since. A real dog--stewed black fruit and soy sauce. Unfortunately I've noticed this about other aged bottles of Costco-sourced wines.

And this evening I took the last glass (after four days fridge in and out and in and....) and it was even better (more body, more complexity) with a hint of cocoa and more depth; se my two previous notes.

Really off aromas and flavor. Fed it to the camellias.
