Had at Sagrantino Wine Tasting & Umbrian Popup Dinner with Italian lovers wine tasting group.
I had a different experience than other tasters here. Perhaps it was the environment in which I drank it but this bottle showed extremely well. Granted it needs time to soften the tannins but it was not out of balance and alcohol was not a problem on the palate. - On the palate the black fruit & blackberry flavors had depth along with notes of menthol and forest floor. 92+

This is not my cup of tea. Sweet with prunes and raisins on the palate. Big wine with a lot of drying tannins on the finnish. I feel some out of balance alcohol on it

Ap: dark ruby red Ar: cherries, dark berries, more prunes than plums, but a touch of both. Medium intensity. Full bodied, not extremely well balanced, but charming, medium intense palate of prunes and sweet cherries. Nice tannic backbone. Medium length

Some flaws but balanced with charm. Drinks fine now (I have a rather cold cellar), but will survive for a few years more.
