Deep, rich, succulent, just perfectly judged fruitiness. Very dark cherry, coffee and 80% chocolate, round and alive. You can say it is young, but they are just so appealing at this age. Old Port is just completely different and with its own appeal, but I am just much more interested in them at this vibrant stage of their lives. Getting this case of 2007 VP halves delivered is proving to be very dangerous. They are young by Port standards, but the two we have had so far have been excellent - this one has the edge over the Gould Campbell as the balance was perfect.

Maybe just too young still. Sweet and fruity, but not very balanced. No browning. Got a little better a few evenings on. Didn’t really mesh with any nuts, chocolate, or blue cheese we tried with it.

Perfectly acceptable but not very interesting. Seems young, but not sure it will be better later. Surprisingly, it clashed with a rich chocolate cake. Ended up setting it aside until the cake was dispatched. Will see how the rest of the bottle is after being open…

Probably opened this a few years too early, but enjoyed it nonetheless. Very dark purple, medium body and medium sweet.
