Deep purple. Assertive nose of treacle, smoke and possibly liquorice. Fruit predominates at first, but with air acidity comes to the fore - rather too much. A slightly dusty finish.

Velvety black fruit, plums, chocolate, oak, coconut. Lots of licorice on the palate along with pretty fierce tannins. Very good and reminiscent of the 2002 Patrimo. Very good.

Dark purple color. Pretty interesting nose. Mostly black fruits with spices like clove and allspice. The Monte really stands out. Not sure if I see the Merlot part. Good acid keep this wine in balance.
