  • Drank this wine with my spouse at La Braceria.

Purple red in colour with notes of ripe raspberries. Bottle breathed for 30 minutes with another 30 minutes in the decanter. This wine still needs time and air to bring out its best. Ripe, juicy, but somewhat subdued as compared to the more monstrous side it had just a few years ago.

Perfect compliment to red meats, grilled, barbecued or sizzled. As compared to the typical Cabernet Sauvignon or Shiraz, this wine brings greater complexity to the table and probably is a good definition of what a good Aussie Cabernet-Shiraz is.

  • Open the bottle, you can enjoy it immediately. It is well balanced with lots of berry on the palate. Powerful, concentrate. Drink for 4 hours , it didn’t fade out. Keep tasty for very long.

  • Drank this at Crystal Jade Golden Palace last night with my wine mates. Theme of the evening: Shiraz (or predominately Shiraz) from Australia (non-South Australia), 5 years and older.

Double decanted for 1.5 hours before serving. Lots of plums evolving over the course of dinner, showing off its Cabernet Sauvignon characteristics. A hint of black pepper spice in the finish, with some lacquer and liquorice lingering in the mid-palate.

Overall this wine is a step-up from the Black Puma. However, at 12 years of age, I am uncertain if further cellaring will improve the wine further, or has it already past its prime

  • Drank a bottle tonight at Ubin First Stop Restaurant Teochew Cuisine.

Bottle breathed for 9 hours prior to serving.

Wine opened with a dark purple hue with a fragrant nose of plums and flora notes. On the palate the wine has vanilla, cream, chocolates, coffee, raspberries and a touch of black pepper. The integration is wonderful and the wine has a long, lingering finish.
