  Rhone Valley Red Bargains (Vin Vino Wine, Palo Alto, CA): Toasty, almost burnt oak and pepper on the nose. Light bodied with medium acidity. Fresh, juicy red fruit, no oak noticeable on the palate. Much lighter than the rest of the lineup.

  Northern Rhone Syrahs (Vin Vino Wine, Palo Alto, CA): Fruity, grape candy nose. Light bodied with sour fruit. Not a lot going on in the midpalate. Simple and a bit boring.
