Rhone Valley Red Bargains (Vin Vino Wine, Palo Alto, CA): Toasty, almost burnt oak and pepper on the nose. Light bodied with medium acidity. Fresh, juicy red fruit, no oak noticeable on the palate. Much lighter than the rest of the lineup.

(Domaine Faury Syrah Vin de Pays des Collines Rhodaniennes) Dark red violet color; big, herbaceous, pepper, smoke, roasted meat nose; tasty, tart black fruit, herbaceous, pepper, smoke palate; medium-plus finish (good value for under $20)

Northern Rhone Syrahs (Vin Vino Wine, Palo Alto, CA): Fruity, grape candy nose. Light bodied with sour fruit. Not a lot going on in the midpalate. Simple and a bit boring.

About as fruity and thirst quenching as Syrah can get. KLWM import.

A little tart; light bodied but with little aeration; pleasant, but probably would not get again @ this price point

Tart and unpleasant with no depth and a bitter chalky finish, Nothing like the other notes, so I have to assume oxidized. Shame.
